Job Overview:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate for a Technical Accounting Manager position.
- The successful candidate will have public accounting and SEC reporting experience, superior communications, and detail-oriented organizational skills.
- This role reports to the Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in and lead the evaluation of the accounting treatment for significant transactions. Research applicable GAAP disclosure requirements for proposed transactions.
- Review contracts to identify technical accounting matters and prepare analysis and memorandums.
- Perform and manage the monthly consolidation process.
- Prepare financial information and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Assist in the external audit and review process by providing audit support and relevant schedules.
- Prepare balance sheet analysis and record journal entries, as well as related balance sheet reconciliation for technical financial statement line items.
- Review financial data for accuracy, identify problems and support day-to-day operations.
- Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verifying documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
- Work closely with project teams to provide support and ensure technical guidance is followed.
- Assist with implementation of and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 key controls and processes.
- Proactively work on initiatives to implement operational accounting efficiencies through process improvements and control enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as FP&A, tax, legal, research, product and operations to provide accounting guidance on contracts, business initiatives, and new transactions.

Education:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Active Certified Public Accountant license
- Masters of Business Administration or Masters of Science in Accounting preferred, but not required
